SAMR Membership Dues

Since you are  a valued participant in the Society for Ancient Mediterranean Religions (SAMR), we want to alert you to the fact that, according to our records, you are not current with your membership dues.

As our Winter 2023 SAMR newsletter demonstrates, our group continues to be exceptionally active, offering a wide variety of programming and professional opportunities for its members. We hope that you continue to support this work by renewing with us!  

We make a concerted effort here at SAMR to keep our fees as reasonable as possible, particularly given the institutional and personal strain many are under these days. We ask $20.00 for regular members, $10.00 for students, contingent faculty, or retired members, as well as an option for a lifetime membership for $200.00 (which also means you will never get another one of these notes!). Your contributions will go to continuing to fulfill SAMR’s mission of supporting our members via speakers’ honoraria, subsidizing costs associated with conferences and allied initiatives, and continuing to develop our new web page (please check it out!).

As always, we do not want to limit access to anyone due to financial concerns. Please note that if for any reason you are not able to afford to pay for your annual membership, contact us at SAMRpres@gmail.com and your dues will be waived for one year.
